So everybody is just as clueless as I am on this. Awesome.

I was under the impression that an aftermarket part would not void the warranty unless it was proven to be the cause of the problem. I havent yet installed my carbonio intake but the local VW specialist shop owner told me today the dealer will not help me should an issue arise if that thing is installed.
input plz? Skuured.![]()

Because basically you half answered your question already.
Will a CAI void your warranty-no..
If you go in for a suspension issue they can't blame it on the CAI, they might try and connect the two, but no. I had a dealer try that with me with my airbag light, I told them to go shove it and gave them all 0's on there review...
It all depends on the dealer, ask them if they are mod friendly, there are usually a few dealers that are good and know the difference.
However if you hydrolock the engine and you have a CAI installed, yeah more than likely a denied warranty..

I will say this, I have seen, heard and felt other intakes, and for me the carbonio is bang for buck awesome, and it really opens up when you add software and an exhaust..
My brother has a gti and he actually likes driving my car more cuz of the sound, I'll try and get some audio clips of it, but it sounds nice...

Dont you have an APR dealer in your area? We have two by us that allows us to take it in for warranty work regardless. They obviously won't replace the carbonio if it goes "bad" somehow, but everything else they will. Even if you dont, any dealer cannot deny you warranty work on something unrelated. I really highly doubt anything "related" would even be caused by your Carbonio

it's just a cold air intake. put it on your car and don't worry about it. if you run into engine problems down the road just swap back the stock intake, it's a piece of cake. the CAI is not going to do any harm whatsoever to your engine...and just about all intakes take the same amount of time to install/uninstall. same process for each one, so someone claiming 20 minutes versus another at 30 minutes is completely subjective. it's up to you how long it takes to complete the swap.
