thanks alot man!
most people that see or hear what i do or just even talk to me dont belive im only 17, which i think is weird because im pretty sure i look younger than i am,![]()
oh well
on another note, my engine is still at the shop. the engine builder said this is the worst time of year for them![]()
but he reassured me that it should be done VERY soon!

Looks good mankeep up the progress.

not a problem, some ppl start very young , i started at 16 myself, 12 years later i'm still doing it and making a living off of it, the greatest part is its not work, because i love what i do, keep at it and before you know it you won't need an engine shop you can do it yourselfgood luck with the build, i'm staying tuned

i know ive slacked alittle on updates but i assure you i havent been slacking on the car. i picked up a digi1 harness and began swapping them out. as i unplugged the digi2 harness, i plugged in the matching plugs on the digi1 harness.
when i had the digi2 harness completely out i looked at what i had left. the digi1 harness has a few more little plugs than the digi2 so i started matching up. i figured out two of them but i cant seem to find any place for the last 3.
can anyone help me out with this?
Colors in order from left to right: orange/white, purple/black, blue/white
if there are any digi1 guru's out there PLEASE help! im going to do some other research to try to figure out what these are. as soon as i know i can start the wire tuck
Thanks for reading!![]()

Digi 1 sucks, I've been down that road. To the point where I was making my own files, burning chips and could never get it to run right.
Went ms1 with spark and haven't looked back. Ive got a ton of info if you want to pm me for the specifics.
#47
im eventually planning on ms but i cant seem to find a setup even relatively close to what i can afford at the time. the digi1 was local and didnt cost me much at all so i figure even if it doesnt run well at first, itll be some good practice with wire tucking. atleast until i can afford standalone
id have more updates, but im still waiting on the engine shop to spend the whole 2 hours to put the IM shaft bearings in.

At the very least make sure you get a 16v specific file, as they run way less timing due to a more efficient head design. Running a 16vt with an 8v timing map is a good way to put pistons in your oil pan.

I'm the smoke for tits dude lol I also run ms1v3 with spark on my vrt Corrado. I've played around with g60's with chip tuning on digi 1 and I would definitely go with something a little more sofisticated.

the hub is 'a little' bit of a pain, because it has to be in a certain spot to put it on. but once you get used to it, it is actually pretty cool. i think it works alot like an NRG but ive never seen one in person so im not sure. just go on ebay and search "quick release hub" theres a bunch to choose from.
on another note..... 89 jetta diesel content
enjoy!
