I have the opportunity to purchase a 1993 Fox 4 door for $200 and was thinking of pulling the engine and 5 speed trans from it for my wagon. Is the front suspension the same as an '88 wagon? If so, would it be possible to drop the entire front suspension w/ the drive train attached from the 4 door and bolt in right into the wagon? Engine will be re-built before install as will the trans. Any info is DEFINITELY appreciated!!!! After I get what I need the rest of the car will be available for parts.

Yep, the whole subframe/suspension/engine/trans will bolt up without a problem. The fuel injection system is different between the 93 and the 88 though; not a big headache, but you will need to decide which system you will use and swap the bits needed.

If you end up selling any parts off the 93 let me know. I'll be out at Wintergreen near the end of September. I have a 93 4 door that could use some odds and ends. ...

Picked up the '93 today. It only has 107,000 miles on it. Interior looks to be perfect. Have pics, but can't seem to get them to post. What the heck am I doing wrong? I look at the bottom of the page and it says "IMG code is on". Should it be off?

I hope the parts car works out for you. I looked at a parts car today and asked about the 5 speed....he wanted 450.00 for it. You got a great deal!

Man, I am SOOO glad to hear that! I have been trying to justify the expense to my wife (she says she isnt worried about it at all) but I almost felt like I had overpaid! Exterior is rough and the R front fender is missing. The PO, for some reason, removed the hood latch and installed hood pins (????). The paint is silver and the clear coat is peeling. After seeing the car's exterior, I almost walked away. Then I looked inside and noticed the near perfect interior. It smells like a squirrel's den (his/her nest was in the glovebox) but has no stains or rips/burns. Even the carpet looks new. I think I will do all right on this one.
