Thread: External Fuel Pump Dead Passat B3

    Any alternative that won't cost me 300$ in new parts ?? Can't find the unit used ..

    Just did mine it was only $89 + core. May as well do the filter too. The easiest way to change either one is to pull both so you don't damage the fuel line in between. I got it down so I can do the whole thing in a half hr. But the first time it was more like 4hrs. If you need any advice let me know ill get back to you as soon as I can

    Yeah sure if you can help me by PM with I little DIY I would really appreciate .. Because right now the only thing I see is a 20 year old rusted/jammed fuel pump.

    like mention above. due ot the age of these cars and pumps; the rust build up on the assemblies are terrible.
    9 out of 10 look like a big hunk of rust.

    if interested i have 1 last pump assembly; that is main pump housing; pump; filter and lines to the pressure accumulator or dampener for sale. 120 plus shipping
