Need help with those plastic rad hinges on 92 Eurovan

I have a 92 Eurovan and about to replace my rad but I'm quickly hitting a road block with the plastic hinges that allow the rad to be angled out of the way and give access to the engine block. I see the tiny plastic tabs but lifting them up and out of the way with a small flat head screw driver doesn't seem to allow me to pop them off. Is there a special position that they need to be in? thanks in advanced!
