    $1200 for a bare block? F that.

    You can buy a complete running W12 Phaeton for 15-16k

    Do yourself a favor- drive a phaeton first, then drive the new Merc. I'm not joking.

    Take them both on a nice long 20-30 minute drive.

    I've got 2 Phaeton in my family. My FIL had a Mercedes. Thanks to me, he now has a Phaeton for the last 3 years and referred to Mercedes as a tin can.

    He also commented on the noticeable lack of quality on the Mercedes paint. (orange peel)

    Find one with lower miles and enjoy the ride.. while pocketing the difference to put towards other things. (house, investments, savings, toys)

    will do.. its a shame they got rid of the car.. finding one now with low miles is hard.. I may look at A8's also..
