Looking to set up a caravan to BFI from the Buford/Hamilton Mill area for the show. Here's what I'm thinkin:

      • It's a 6 hour drive, and I hate early morn caravans on the day of events.
      • Most people will be coming up (North) I-85 anyways.
      • Post-Lunch meet & greet in Hamilton Mill

There's a Walmart on Sardis Church Road that would be great place to meet. There's a Chili's and Barberitos on the other side for those that want to chow down some lunch first.

      Initial plans*

Meet at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 12th and caravan up from Walmart to our hotel destinations in/around Cary, NC.

Link to the general map is from Sardis Church Road in Hamilton Mill to BFI's address (1000 E Chatham St., Cary, NC 27511)
      Map: http://*******/maps/1oWFB

      Map

This caravan is open to discussion as we have just over a month to plan and organize for the show.

*Initial plans are subject to change with or without notice, although I'll do my best to update with notice.

Can't wait. Already got time off work for the show. Got there late last year, hope to grab a good spot this year by getting there early.

Sweet. Would love to have someone join in. Only worry is that we're taking I-85 all the way up. If you wanna join in around Gastonia, that would be cool.

      What's your ride?

Very cool! Post a picture when you can. I'm going to post up a map of our route later today. The departure time from Buford, GA may change for Friday, but not sure yet.

We still have time to plan and organize. It'll be fun.

Beautiful! Mine will be lowered a tad, eurotag, and tuned before then. I wanted to change a few things but since this is all the original paint and interior and wheels, I just cant bring myself to do it!! Keeping it classic

It's been brought to my attention that leaving at 11:00 AM would put us in Charlotte around 3:00 PM.

That should make meeting up with KellyMcLain in Gastonia hopefully a little easier around 2:30/2:45 PM.

FYI: I will be bringing my laptop and VAG-COM system with me both OBD-I and OBD-II for anyone that needs a MIL inspection.

Read & DTC clearing is free, but a cash donation would be greatly appreciated!

I'm so down for this caravan! Also, I wouldn't mind "cash donating" for some VAG-COM mods...

I have a MK6 Jetta, looking for some simple things like enabling full functionality with the euro switch for starters. I'll probably pick up a euro switch from BFI amongst other things when I get there. I also want to be able roll the windows up and down from my key. (Saw a buddy with a MK6 GLI VAG-COM coded achieve this). I'll think of some other things and make a list!
