I picked up a complete 1973.5 Porsche 911 CIS fuel system at a swap meet this weekend for $40, and I'd like to know what kind of fuel the distributor will flow
is there anywhere I can reference part numbers and read up on their info?
also, if I choose to use it, can I use standard bolts with a crush copper washer to plug up the two extra fueling points? or will that cause extra strain on the distributor? or, would the bolts end up leaking anyways?
also, unique to the 1973.5 system is a throttle enrichment switch, similar to a modern throttle position sensor. as far as I can tell it has a cam inside a housing that rotates with the throttle plate. the cam moves a valve open and closed depending on it's position, and bypasses fuel from the WUR and directly to the fuel distributor. It's a pretty awesome idea, I just wonder if a vacuum-operated WUR would work just as well or better? I can probably figure out a way to modify to work with my throttle bodies
any help on that?
