Hey guys, I just recently bought an 04 R32 and it has a very annoying alternator whine coming threw the speakers. Everything is stock and it does have a phatnoise hooked up in the trunk but I have taken it out and taken the stock amp out as well and the whine still persists. I can hear it through my speakers but in the trunk I can really hear it from the drivers side tail light for some reason. I'm thinking that maybe whoever installed the phatnoise also moved some grounds around.
Does anyone know if the head unit/ speakers ground to the trunk, right next to the driver's side tail light? Also the whine persists even if the head unit is off.

i am not up to par where the grounds are located, but any that you come across i wuld make sure that they are tight and clean it also wouldnt hurt to add another 4ga.from the - battery to the frame somwhere. might be worth a try..
