I have a built 16v motor for sale (long block). Its a perfect swap for a mk1 with the driver side intake. I got the motor in a package deal and have no use for it. It has less than 200o miles on it since the build and still has assembly lube in the head.

Some details from what the PO told me:

1.8 PL block punched to 2.0
9A head ported intake and exhaust
Aftermarket high compression internals (was told it was built to hold 8k RPM)
Schrick Aluminum Oil Pan (retails for $300 by itself)

Only needs intake mani, exhaust mani, an serpentine system to be complete

Make me an offer -- OBO

Please call or text 717-448-6834 for more info and pics.

Located in Eastern PA but I travel to Central Pa very often.

The problem is that without any supporting pics or documentation, one has to assume it's just a used 16V engine with some hearsay attached to it from a previous owner whose identity, and therefore credentials, are unknown.

It sounds like a great engine if one could be sure about what it is.

you are correct, however the motor (even if it was bone stock) with a rebuild would go for a few hundred bucks. I'm asking $750 OBO because it its clear that the cams are BRAND new and the head still has assembly lube in it. No wear on the lobes at whatsoever. The motor also has a Schrick oil pan on it which go for $300 new. If I had a build sheet I would be asking a lot more for this motor but I feel for what I am asking (keeping in mind it is OBO) is very fair. No one has actually come to look at it yet to see that it is in VERY good condition. I've had lowballers and tire kickers. If someone really wants a nice motor for their car this is perfect. Does it have a stroker kit in it? I can't verify that other than what I was told by the previous owner. I do not doubt it though because the guy new his stuff and there is an obvious amount of work done to the motor just from what I can see without pulling the pan or the head.
