Thread: Clear bra in Denver area

  1. 08-29-2012 03:08 PM #1
Hey guys, I would like to get a clear bra put on the VW and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good shop. I live up north but would be willing to travel a bit if it was worth it. Thanks!

Not some cheap hackjob, but rather a skilled craftsman who has the best quality for the price.

I know it's been a while since this was originally posted --- but TintAmerica in Littleton did a fantastic job on my allroad.

Windows are tinted and the Clear Bra is on.

    Tint Info: Llumar film
    Clear Bra Info: 3M Scotchgard
C/B'd parts: Front white painted bumper, hood, mirrors, door handle insets, headlights and rear bumper under the rear hatch.

are the clear bra edges that big all the way around?

Not to nit pick, but from what I have seen the difference between a great clear bra job and an OK clear bra job is in the precision of the edges. Most really good clear bra guys will have practically NO gap on the edges and will in some cases actually WRAP around the edge. However, it could just be how close you took the picture which exaggerates the gap. Just curious.

looks like a pre cut kit.

Everything on the bra was cut from sheets of material.

As for the percentage of the tint... I'll PM you.

About how much is the std clear bra, front end, mirrors, for a GTI? I just picked up a 2010 and need to get it done.

Those pre-cut kits are the cheap and easy route for someone less skilled at installing. I've never used Dan but from what everyone says he's good. I've used IDS several times and they do awesome work, they wrap around edges and it always looks perfect...they're not cheap though.

Dan does great work, it looks like your Audi was wrapped in a pre-cut kit. Dan has done dozens of cars for us (between my husband and I) and anytime I can direct someone to him over a company that does pre-cut kits, I do.

I went down to Tinteks today and I'm glad I did. It really is amazing, looks great! Dan is the man. It's totally worth it to go with the good stuff.
