My low mileage, 2008 MKV, Deep Blue Pearl R32 is for sale with only 25k miles on the clock. Currently located in NJ, but I'm willing to meet anywhere in the Tri-state area, or ship the car anywhere in the US... for a serious buyer of course. The car has been meticulously maintained, all recalls done, all services at recommended intervals at VW dealerships (documentation available), washed weekly, fully detailed inside/out monthly (I used to own my own detailing business). There have been no mechanical issues what-so-ever... this car has been issue-free and a pleasure to drive so far. Car looks and drives like new. The car is 99% stock. I liked the car so much stock that there was very little I felt needed to be changed (currently has magnaflow non-res cat back and evoms intake).
Asking $22,995 OBO for the car stock, or mods can be negotiated in for cheap. Cell is best (203-980-3753), or email (loco685@gmail.com), or PM me. Cheers guys - Anthony

Car got a 4 hour inside/out detail today... it literally looks and smells like new. Am I asking too much at $22,900? Seems like a great deal to me...

You must have entered the mileage and condition in wrong because it's worth a lot more than "under 20k"

So yes, 20k is more realistic and at that point it would probably sell quick.
I'm not hatin', don't get me wrong, nice car and I like it but trying to keep it more real. I can understand that it's worth more in your eyes, but what is a true market value and what other people are willing to pay are two different thing.
If you get closer to the realistic numbers, you may have a buyer here.

Thanks for the advice but I think it would be better suited if you directed at the guys who are asking $25-26k for a car with the same or higher miles than mine. Edmunds, KBB, etc... they can't factor in what enthusiasts think these cars are worth and what they're willing to pay. Again, thank you for your advice, but I think $22.9 is a fair price and I've gotten plenty of offers around $20-21. Fortunately I don't have to sell the car by any means and I can wait for the right buyer
$22,900. 203-980-3753.

Apparently, from your offers, $20-21 is what "enthusiasts" are willing to pay. The fact that you are trying to sell it since April, with no luck, should tell you something about your asking price.
Again, not hatin', you asked for opinion on price, I gave you one, moving on.
All that aside. Did you ever fix the rattle you had after exhaust install, if so what did it turned out to be?
What's the condition of the tires, when did you change them last time?
#12
The rattle was from a missing fastener of the plastic underbelly tray that would make a flapping motion and thus "rattle" at speed. Dealership put back tne little plastic fastener and it's been perfect since![]()

has this car been winter driven?
as previously stated, i'm maxed out at $21,000 with my financing in place. the cars unfortunately are getting older not younger, miles mean something, but age w/o being driven can be a problem. i should know, my grandpa's Toyota Camry of all cars, with 33,000 miles and 10 years old, was a maintenance nightmare. Constantly breaking down and he was meticulous with dealer maint.

disregard winter driving question - your car never saw snow in CAL and it's just now in NJ so it hasn't seen winter to my understanding. unless of course you went up to the mountains in CAL?![]()
#16
Car has never seen a winter... yet! Perhaps the next owner is going to tear up some snow with it
Got a strong offer for over $22.5 today, but until there is a deposit or cash in my hand the car is still for sale. Gentleman is coming from NY to see the car early next week, so if you've been lurking... get off your butt and come check her out. Willing to throw in the Magnaflow exhaust and the monster mats...

Righteous Bucks - this car has been driven, but just not like crazy. With an average of 6-7k miles per year, that's been enough to keep her healthy and exercised, but at the same time minty fresh. At my last service I asked the master tech at VW to look the car over and he gave her a 100% clean bill of health.
dklansky - tires are great. If I can get a pic up of the tread depth before she sells I'll post it. Thanks!

loco i have no doubts your car is fresh - i like it alot, just a bit above my range. as i was telling CWdub, I wish I could pay more. My loan is approved for 21K and that's it for now :/

correction:
CWdub is no longer selling, I'm still in the market, very interested in your car - I can do $21,000 even. If you're interested let me know, BUT please do not waste my time, I will NOT waste your time. I just went through 4 days of organizing on the other car for nothing.
If I don't pick up an R32 this week, I'm out of the buying market til April, no reason to buy a car to store it for winter.
The only reason I'm buying an R32 now is to have it for H20 and then put it away for winter. Whatever car I buy will be babied and cared for.

Righteous Bucks, please retain some dignity, do not beg for the car. You are letting your emotions take over the buying process. We are talking a used car here, if not this one, there is always another one coming up for sale around the corner.
Stop and think about your situation, do you really want to buy a car now, use it for a week and let it sit for months, watching his value depreciate? Not a very wise financial decision, considering that you have to take out a loan in the first place. Why not wait for when you are really ready to buy and enjoy the car, months down the road. Prices can only fall by than. $21k is already top of the range here. I know that idea of getting a car, that you want, can be very exciting, but put your emotions on hold. Wouldn't you rather save some cash? Just trying to give you some friendly advice.

dk your point of view is understood but as someone who has been looking for quite some time - i know what's out there and what may be out there in 6-8 months probably won't be any better than the available cars now - i'd rather grab one that meets all of my criteria now, than wait and see.
i'm willing to pay 21 for a low mileage car, i think it's fair. and after seeing the cars i've looked at already, and some of what is on the market, there are some scary R32s out there, 2-3 owners, hell i found one that had 4 owners!
this car is from a preferable climate, it has low miles, it's not seen snow, it's the right color, blue or red preferred. and it has a good history to it.
the car in AZ was about as good as you'd find, but he decided he wasn't going to sell now b/c he didn't have a car lined up to drive?!?!
Find a TR R32 with less than 40k miles in the country, for a decent price, that hasn't see snow, it's near impossible. the one i did look at, with 26k miles in Arkansas looked nothing like it does online. it was beat, it looked like it had 50k miles on it.
so to be honest, i'd rather strike while the iron is hot provided everything adds up.

Looks like my car is going to sell tomorrow to a friend from NY. If the sale somehow falls through, I will let you know. And dklansky, can you please host your financial advice column outside of my for sale thread? Thanks, you're a buddy![]()
