Thread: window trim near side mirrors

  1. 08-30-2012 10:32 AM #1
Does anyone else notice the black film that covers the window frame is peeling where the side mirrors meet the window frame? My wife is bringing the van in for service today, and I wanted to see if anyone else has this same problem. I am at work but I'll post pics tonight.

Re-stick the film with 3Ms adhesion promoter "94 tape primer". That should fix it. I haven't heard of this before, but the film is similar to the vinyl wrap material I've used with the '94'. Contact cement would work, but is probably too thick. There are others that may work as well.

if you are talking about the black trim sticker - then, yes, I have the same issue. I think it is caused by the weather stripping shifting...
