This is an intervention.
TCL has suffered enough. Some of the SoCal TCL'ers actually wasted many hours helping him track down and sometimes test drive cars with Vad. So for reference, these are the cars Vad is definitely NOT interested in buying, despite what he tells you otherwise. Do not feed Vad's addiction. Ignore his painful plea for more leads of high mileage used car of questionable history and spotty records.

DOn't forget to add: Any new car, or any used car with a pristine history and a clean CarFax. We KNOW he isn't going to buy those.

He seems to have an affinity for once-high-end cars which are now POS's.

I like it. He thinks out loud and promotes discussion. There's not a thing wrong with that. You wouldn't understand this because you're a part of the grumpy smurf brigade that hates everything fun and spends most of their time either trolling or posting negative things.
I like to talk things through with people who like to talk about cars. There couldn't be a more perfect place for this kind of discussion, among the many others. If you're not interested in the content, feel free to avoid them, or block him altogether. I've blocked Saintor and a couple others recently, and that's made my experience that much better.

contrary to popular belief, he does occasionally drive the E30
seen here at the Socal GTG/GMR cruise
and I believe the S60R is his only other vehicle. Obviously 2 is not enough for one person as we here in TCL should understand. He merely lives out that desire in a more public way, hence all the posts.

Should have never sold the Skyline. Or Cressida. Or the Miatas.

This may still happen!
This may also happen, if I grow a pair.
This may happen... Wait, this is starting to make sense to me now...
Ok, no way this was going to happen.
See engine-less Mercedes above.
I found out it has rotten fenders. It's still for sale.
I blame YOU and Uberchad for that one.
I was drinking early that morning.
I sent Jerry_HEAVEN to look at it. It had weird tree sap on the hood and roof. In retrospect, that was a stupid car to not buy.
The owner refused to sell it to me! Proof:
This was for the gf.I think it's going to a better home. The guy who bought it is skilled in mechanics, finding parts, dealing with a car that can be as expensive to repair as it is persnickety. I must say I felt a twinge of guilt knowing you were getting for your girlfriend. These are not easy cars to own. There's a bumper sticker you see all over Africa, "I'd rather be pushing my Land Rover, than driving by me in your Toyota."
So was this.
And this. Eventually, all of those turned into this:
God I love these things. Now I'm off searching for one again.
These too!
He decided he wanted to drive it around for a bit more, then sold it without telling me. Bastard!
I don't remember this at all. I must have been drunk again.
This was for the gf. We checked out a fair number before realizing they sucked (in our price range).
Oh come on!
How about the abandoned Euro-spec E34 M5 that I chased all the way to auction, bid over the city-permitted amount, had the car pulled, only to come back for auction two weeks later where I was beaten to the punch by a man wearing a dashiki?
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-I-found-it...
What about the time I gave some guy a deposit on a 350Z only to realize that he was a wanted felon and the car was not in his name, thereby leading to what could have potentially been a dangerous confrontation at a gas station?
http://forums.motivemag.com/showthread.php?4633541
What about that one time I sent Jerry_HEAVEN and Slonie to check out a $3k M5 for me and they were almost raped?
There are plenty more.
