The Porsche event made me appreciate my GTI more.

Like, sure the Carrera S sounded sexy. The Panamera GTS is stupid fast for such a big sedan. At the end of the day when I got into my GTI I soothingly caressed its leather wrapped flat bottom wheel and stroked my dash, I did not feel as if the cars I drove were worth 3, 4 or 5 times what my GTI cost (or in the case of the Boxster, 2.5 times).

Would I buy the cars I drove if I had the means? Sure.

But I would not "stretch" to get them.

Also, considering I was sure the day would make me hate the GTI, it was a good day.
