OK...haven't been on here in a while...'02 GLS...
Just replaced the battery last weekend when the van would not start twice in a month - 2 weeks apart - jumped it and it started immediately.

Today, sister was driving it around (she also has an '02 GLS in H.B., California)...everything was
    fine...stopped home...turned off the van...ran inside...came back out...nothing...no clicking like a dead battery...

The previous times...the wife was driving short distances between errands...

The only code is the sensor P0118...i looked it up and sometimes on other vehicles it produces a no-start symptom...

I replaced the started probably in '05 or '06 with a Bosch unit.

    Thoughts?

I had the same issue after driving then no start. I had a bunch of warning lights blinking prior to not starting, turns out it was a dead battery and bad alternator. Changed both out and all is good. So have the alternator checked, might not be charging the battery.

I'm on my third alternator. I seem to replace it as often as I do my battery.
Just put it on my tab at Harry's

Replaced alternator within the past year...they load tested the alternator before replacing the battery last week...

I am wondering if it is the starter again...raining outside now so waiting to drop pan and get to
starter...why couldn't it have died in the garage...

Thought it might be a switch but I can hear it click when I step on the brake pedal...

Checked the two relays #18 and #175 - those were fine...

So I am replacing the starter...I got the bottom bolt off but am having trouble with the top bolt...

Anyone have any words of wisdom...am I going to need an air rachet to get it off?

Please any tried advise would be appreciated...

    TIA

This might seem a late question but...ignition switch?

Thanks Seano...yes I replaced it...I had a spare one...guess I can keep it as a good used spare...the plastic. "Key hole" was still fine...
