i had a problem with these on my '83 gti. I have vmaxx coils installed and with the rollers smallest/lowest setting I couldn't get the right angle?? the distance from hub to fender was too short. I had to start the lip by hand with a rubber mallet until i rolled the lip enough to get the roller in?? It was such a hassel. Do you have any tips on that. I've seen them done on mk3's & 4's with coils no problem, but my mk1 was a pain

had the same issue with a mk3 on new raceland ultimos, i also used the rubber mallet to start it. i didnt have this problem on my mk3 with blown ass racelands lol . the rubber mallet seems to be the only way to get it started if your car is low and the coil is in good shape.

Raise the coils so there is more room for the roller, have the car dumped doesn't give it enough space.

That's where rollers like the Powered By Max have a true advantage over the Eastwood.
