I'll be passing through on my way to DC so I'm stopping by to check it out. GA tickets are $50. Meh, not bad but i feel like parking will rape me.

Going on credentials. I didn't attend last year, so I'm looking forward to it.

I'll be going tomorrow. Luckily I live in the city, and near the light rail so parking won't be an issue for me. Anyone that's driving in, consider parking further out in the city and taking the light rail in. Save yourself the headache of parking down there.

anyone getting rid of tickets before i purchase from ticketmaster?

I won't be there, but my co-workers of McLaren Philadelphia will be. Go see them, look for the Volcano Orange MP4 on display.

My colleague here next to me lives in downtown Baltimore, and he's going to spend the weekend with his folks.
He's not really a fan of auto racing, so I can't blame him.

I'm heading down tomorrow for the ALMS race. Missed it last year and saw the Indy car race instead on Sunday. Luckily I can take the Metro all the way down there.
I love cars, but the problem is they are like schroedinger's hobby. They're always in a quantum superstate of being both awesome and a huge waste of time and money... until observation momentarily forces them into one state or another.

I was at the Friday practice/qualifying last year. Going to the ALMS race tomorrow, seats by the hairpin turn.
Deal with it.

My brothers are going. I would love to join them, but I potentially have too much work to get done tomorrow, and Friday I'm scheduled to do an auto-x event with my brother in a couple F430s, picked em up off Groupon awhile ago. So given the choice of skipping one or the other to get some work done... Well...

I will be there ...looking forward to ALMS series not really into the open wheeled racing on Sunday so much. Last year was a blast. Got wasted and lost my sandals , Had to walk around bare-foot all night and in Baltimore thatis never a wise move. Surprisingly enough not one needle or shard of broken glass was encountered....very impressed withthe way the harbor was cleaned up. I thinks this racing series (booked for 5 years/3 remaining) is a great thing for the City. Gosh knows it needs it.!!!!!!

What's up with the tire barrier chicane? Why did they scrapped last year's curbing? If someone gets it wrong, then they have to yellow flag it to re-stack the tires.
On the other hand, if you get it wrong with the curbing, you just straight line it and give the position back.

can someone tell me, if I really have to buy tickets, or no? Maybe there are some spots to watch the race from the streets?

It was pretty awesome to see the M3 spun around and hit the wall yesterday though, after getting on the throttle too early.
Unless you live in one of those multistory houses around the track you won't see anything unless you buy a ticket. You do get free sound though

Getting ready to head down there now. Going to check out the ALMS paddock and the exotic car corral.

i had a great time! will definitely splurge for paddock access next year. The sights and especially the sounds were great. The way the sounds echo off the buildings was great. The alms race was awesome too.
