Keep in mind the timing belt needs changed every 60-75k. So youre almost due for a new one.

Hey everyone, I picked up a 337 the other day after a long search for the right car, and I think this turned out to be the perfect choice. Its also my first Volkswagen, even though I've loved them for years. It has 120,000 miles and I purchased it from the original owner, which was a major plus. He had it parked outside, so the outside is decent, it has a reasonable sized dent in the driver fender and a couple scratches, but the interior is immaculate. I was so surprised when I first looked at it because it looks literally brand new except the whole in the drivers floor mat from his heel. The engine bay as well is amazing, I really have no idea how he kept it so clean.
Time for pictures(they're kinda crappy, but I've just been so excited)

One question for you all, on the roof I found a small area of oxidization or corrosion, and I remember reading that there is a 12 year corrosion warranty on the body. Does this apply here? And has anyone claimed it or had any experience with the dealer on this? Any input would help.

It looks awesome now, and as soon as I drove it once I fell in love. But there's still a lot I have planned. Items I'm looking to get:
RS driver fender
floor mats/liners as well as a cargo liner for the trunk (I reallyyy want to keep the interior just as nice)
glass lens covers
black grille
stubby/shark fin antenna
clear side markers
the BBS center cap mod (I like the look of the exposed lugs and bbs cap)
polo aero / mkv rear wiper
oem roof rack+rails
In the future:
front bumper and lip (they're pretty chipped up)
rear bumper
cat back
coils
wheels
Let me know what you think! Any tips would be appreciated - especially regarding the warranty - and if you have any of the parts I'm looking for shoot me a pm and we can work out a deal.
Thanks![]()

Looks nice. Do the timing belt, fix those couple small issues and start modding!!

Nice find, new DV, drop in K&N air filter, and theres a bunch of little stuff you can do. But get the timing belt situation checked out, you'll have a fun car that should last.

I would. Because if it was done when everyone on earth knows its supposed to be (60-70k) and not when VW recommends (80k+), then at 120k it's about time to be thinking about it again...

Bought a new set of fenders so I can replace my dented up one. I've never taken the fenders off before, I can't imagine it being to hard but does anyone have any tips, anything I should be careful of?

Mark exactly where the fender was lined up on the bolts. The bigest pain is getting the door not to hit the fender and the gaps to look the same.

Got a rear polo aero wiper from a fellow vortexer. The stock wiper bothered me so much... only problem with the new one is there's no cap, so if anybody has a rear polo wiper cap... let me know
And yes I know you can buy it from ecs, but I'm really not trying to pay 12 dollars in shiping for a part that costs 4.50.
