    Hello,

I have a 2005.5 MKV Jetta and one of the two fans (the smaller one) has stopped working. This has triggered the other fan to run at a high rate (I'm assuming to compensate for cooling) and the check engine light to stay on.

My local Auto Shop has told me this may be a Fan Relay issue, and I wanted to see if anyone has heard of/experienced this issue themselves.

    Thanks,

    ZP.

Its not your fan relay, Clean the rotors on the inside of the fan, and your problem will be fixed. I wrote I DIY.

That. As long as the fan turns freely, chances are cleaning the rotors will help.
