Yes, that's right, 1/24 MKII Golf Rally edition and MKIII Jetta. They are both pre-production so keep your fingers crossed that there is enough interest.

If you are not familiar w/Scale Production, they are the maker of the MKII big bumper kit for the Revell GTI.

If MKII does make production, I'll be ordering these w/it and the MKIII Bora/Jetta

Seems to be a nice little resurgence of scale VW subject matter lately. First the amazing kits above, now I ran accross some pricey goods for the Tamiya MKI Race kit.
    http://www.hlj.com/product/ACS9064
And these wheels for the kit
    http://www.hlj.com/product/ACS9512
    http://www.hlj.com/product/ACS9511
Beautiful stuff to too rich for my wallet.
Also, Hobby design has come out w/17" BBS RSs
    http://www.hlj.com/product/HYDHD03-0189
Aoshima is also releasing,(re-releasing?) BBS RSs and staggard BBS LMs

Unfortunatly I just dropped $63 bucks on Borderlands 2 otherwise I'd be ordering all of the above.

Yeah. I'm excited about the Jetta. I've been checking their site every other day. It looks like from the comments in the blog that the Jetta is closer to production than the MKII. They will be pricey though. There other trans kits run from $45 & up. But I'd spring that much for the Jetta. (I've got a Fujimi MKIII GTI that's been sitting useless in my garage due to a smashed roof/A-piller. Just waiting to donate it's chassis for this.)
I'm going to hit up Stradda sports here in the States as they cary Scale Production items and when I asked them if they would cary the MKII Big bumper kit from Scale Poduction, it was on their web-site in a matter of weeks so they might be willing to carry them. (That would save us a bundle in shipping fees from Germany.)

$45 isnt that bad for a resin body that someone had to make. I usually pay that much for resin bodies anyways nowdays. I knew a guy who had a resin MKIII Jetta (bout 5 years ago), tried buying it off him but he didnt want to come off of it.

I keep checking their site, no release info yet but just from some of the comments made it looks like the MKIII Bora may be available 1st.

I met a guy on FB (model car forums) that I believe might be the master maker (if not then made his own, then made resin bodies). I got a body coming my way. I will post pics when it arrives...

Maybe that is due to excessive drug use, which can lead to prostitution and homelessness.

Don't drive a Corolla or you might end up a homeless prostitute.

The Rallye looks like a Fujimi 1/24 Golf with tacked on bodywork, then remolded in resin?
Edit: just read the description. so it is made for the Fujimi kit.
THANK YOU!! Because the Revell kit looks like complete doo-doo. I have both and the Revell kit is un-built because EVERYTHING is off! The Fujimi kit is a million times better.

It looks very good in the pictures. The headlight and grille is just a p-chop, I hope the production headlights are good enough or I'll have to make my own with projectors.

No release date yet but some progress on the MKII Rally and more photos of additions to the kit. (The small paragraph states that Scale Production would love to hear from us if we really want the kit so it can't hurt to shoot them a quick email letting them know you want it, want it NOW....)

You can also use the big bumper kit on the fujimi kit with little modification.

Sorry the pic is crappy and dusty. The car has been sitting for some time.

Nothing new re: either kit release date yet. I just email Scale Production to let them know I and others on the Vortex are interested in the kits. I'll keep checking...

I heard back from Scale Production. The body for the MkII is done. They are just finishing up on the small detail peices so the kit may be available as early as Mid. February. Keep all our fingers/toes crossed...

The good news, the MKII rally kit is listed for sale on the scale productions website..The bad news is I have the worst friggin luck as I just had Achilles tendon surgery and have zero $$$ to spare..
    http://www.scaleproduction.de/produc...f-2-rally.html
At current exchange rates the kit runs $71.60 not counting shippinng from Germany...Dang out of my price range...

Yeah, funny, I've wanted a MKII rally kit for years, there was a builder a couple years ago from Europe that made his own resin kits @ $65 for just the body shell. But now seeing that MKIII Jetta, I'd rather have that than the rally kit. (Maybe my medical bills won't be as bad as I expect them to be and I'll beable to pick these kits up.

So the MK3 kit is available already? I don't see it offered in the products section?

No, not yet. Odd though as when I first came onto these kits, the MKIII was further along than the MKII.

If you haven't visited SP, check it out, they now have a couple of photos of painted MKII Rally shells. Should have a healthy tax return so think I'll say screw the budget and pick one of these kits up if there are any left by then.
