Granted I'm still quite new here, but I've heard and read that the 2.5's head is quite good; especially regarding flow. I even read yesterday that its the same head on the Gallardo? (well, one of them obviously lol) Is this true? Some guy posted that and nobody after corrected him.

It might sound silly but I'm happy my new car shares anything with a Lambo. The old civic never had that! Also I cannot find many pics of the 2.5's head. Anyway I just wanted to know more about it.

Add pics of it as you wish.

    if i recall correctly, no.
we have a similar BLOCK. (where the crank, rods and pistons are) but different head.

Regardless, our head is PRETTY good.

to put it simple: our total flow is similar, if not better than a vr6 2.8L engine.

Thanks. And incidently, I stumbled onto your build thread when I was researching whether my car is CBUA/CBTA and I must say, nice build on the jetta man. You sank some money into her!!

Too bad its not the same exact head. That would be one hell of a "fun fact."

Its the same bore and stroke as a lambo. And i do remember someone saying a gallardo cam bolted in but it was the wrong firing order. I wouldn't say anything is the same about them but i would definitely say they are rather similar.

Interesting. Whats really ironic is VW put an apparently great flowing head on the 2.5 but then equipped it with a rat maze, heat soaking air intake.
