Nice build.just check out your fb build. Is this G60 body with vr6 conversion( hood,subframe,duh-vrt)? I see you have G60 rear bumper and possible front stretch G60 fenders. But look like vr6 exhaust mounts. Also the orginal paint looks tornado red than flash red.
I like the shave bay and fuel cap and rain gutter, antenna too.![]()

I finally see it's true vr6 platform. Only thing don't get, why the G60 bumpers on VR6 chassis.

Very good eye on the g60 bumper, everything else on the car is true to vr chassis. tThe top bumper clip was spaced out 3/4" to match up with the pulled fenders. One of the fenders had to be totally unrolled and reworked because my buddy wasnt happy with the fender not perfectly matching up to the wheel. We talked about smoothing off all the bumper lines but decided against it as they add character, same reason I kept the fogs/turns.
Going color-matched stock handles on the car. They are going in to get painted with the last few bits next week. Valve cover, fender screws, center caps, and a few others are going in. Car will get its first buff while its getting those done. Cant imagine it looking any better but there are one or two runs in the clear that need to get touched up.
Getting nervous on the crank up tomorrow since the whole harness/fusebox was removed and reinstalled, and it will be the first time on the lugtronic ecu. I had already done the obd2 conversion before which wasnt that difficult, but this time I took the opportunity to remove the abs/ac/fan control/motorized belt wiring from the box. The harness is much much cleaner now but wish me luck
Oh and thanks again for making those mounts shawn, they made the o2m install much easier and I feel good about putting the power down now.

Your build looks excellent. I was going to comment on the rain tray but answered it. I'm getting the SFT tray to hide mine too lol
I am also a big fan of the frame rails left alone too. Too bad I cut out the rain tray on my nugget but I'm definitely leaving frame rails alone.

She runs!
Got the wiring squared away and fluids back in her today to crank up just before I left. Of course the lifters are making their usual clack on a fresh head but I only let her idle for a few minutes. Running way too rich even on startup enrichment so I need to check with Kevin black on that one. And I don't have rpms to the cluster so ill have to sort that one out.
Bleeding the brakes and clutch tomorrow, going for the final tq on all the drivetrain/suspension components tomorrow and hope to put a mile or two on her. Nothing too crazy though, still waiting on seals for the windshield
Friend is bringing by polished tb, shift bracket and Tial bov, and hardware so its still coming together.
I'll get some pictures in the sun tomorrow and with the frame rail covers in place. This color continues to amaze me. Oh and the wheels are 17x8.5 ccw classics, staggered offsets.

Man you guys are relentless, thanks for keeping me motivated
This build is kicking my a$$. Wasnt able to do any driving today, still working on the tune with Kevin. Combination of a fresh motor, reinstalling all the wiring, new engine management...and having to work around fresh paint it trying my patience. Two weeks is not long to make sure shes ready to make the 6 hour one way trip to the OC. Not giving up yet, I just need a good dose of smooth progress here in the next week to get things squared.
And heres the damn pics
Hardware reinstalled. You might recognize that hotside charge pipe from walt(vaporado) and lbsohk build from long ago. The welds got smoothed off and its in primer in this pic
I hate woodgrain wheels, but everyone agrees it looks so damn good on this color.
another side profile, hood is not resting on the stops
View from the back before the false floor
I had a great pic of the frame rail cover installed with the seam gasket but its on the camera at the shop.
Taking a day off from it tomorrow, back at it hard on Thursday![]()
