Im possibly picking up a set of FSV (Formula Super Vee) intakes with injectors. I would like to use them on a DD 81 Rabbit 1.7l Im curious as to how I could go about providing the correct fueling and what additional parts will be required? The head is stock apart from a port match on both intake and exhaust. Im not opposed to running a 1.8 head with the larger valves if needs be. I would really like to use stock Audi/VW parts as ultimate HP is not my goal, but a cool oldschool reliable motor is. Further plans include the use of flat top pistons/rods from an older Passat and possibly knife the crank and lighten the flywheel.
I would really like to figure out what parts, pumps, and metering would be used for this type of build. Thanks for the help![]()

What ems are you going to use, and what exactly are the FSV intakes? ITB's or what. Seems any stock ems is going to need a common manifold/plenum setup. Sounds like a standalone like MS will fit the bill.

Good thing, because:
1. I don't see how you would fit those onto a counter-flow head in a Rabbit.
2. I don't see how those could be very easy to live with on a DD car.

Those are just CIS injectors, on the FSV they run a rpm based fuel setting so not air plate like VW CIS cars. I'd suspect that you can create a plenum and a CIS flow meter. Those won't fit a cross flow head.. I've seen VW racing engine with those type of long ITB. I believe the rain tray was cut out and possibly some of the firewall.
Can you tell me how long they are from end to end?

Sorry for the late reply. Im not sure how long they are as the seller decided to keep them. I was thinking that they could be used similar to the mechanical FI used on old Porsche RS's of the like. possibly mounting them on an ABA (Or my wall) so I wouldn't have intake trumpets sitting in my lap...although I could paint lips on them and... oh never mind
