Wanna see some dumb fast drivers, some quick drivers and a couple of slow drivers in race cars flinging rocks at you?

Then come down to Olympia on the 22-23rd of September, Ken Block and His Ford Fiesta (WRC driver and Gymkhanna Video dude), David Higgins and Subaru USA's WRX STi (British Rally Champion, WRC Driver and Rally America Champion), Antoine L'Estage and his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X (Rally America Champion and Canadian Rally Champion) and 74 other drivers are currently entered in the event. There are 3 vw's and 2 audi's entered in the event too.

Looks like we will be starting out the event at the Capitol Campus in Olympia, then heading out a few of the roads this event used when it was an actual WRC Event in the mid-eighties. Then its off to the new race facitlity, The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton on Saturday night for some fun on and off pavement.

Come by and see the Fine Tuning Demon Rally Team turbocharged ABF 16V mkII Golf GTi sliding on the gravel! We just added some TiAl components and are using an AP Tuning G-force gearset for better gearing and reliability. We are looking at a start of 5th in 2wd and 18th overall, 1st VW in the order.

You can volunteer here if you want your own spot out on stage to help out with the event: http://www.olympusrally.com/volunteers/

Spectating information will be up here soon: http://www.olympusrally.com/spectators/

Headed to go meet Jake @ JRM Fabrication to finish up a few things and get a good tune on it. Then we are turning the car over to Tom to try and break it before the rally

Jake built a completely new turbo manifol/wastegate setup and things are looking mucho better for this next event

This is going to be sick as always, but this year the pits are at the Ridge motorsports park which is the beginning of an amazing facility.
The Audi Club had a track day a few weeks ago and I was a lucky passenger in my friends 4000 and a mini cooper, this track blew me away.
A bunch of us Oly guys will be meeting around the Capital Campus. Not sure exact location for meet up point but I will post is as soon as I know.
Gunna fallow the cars out. They say to keep a steady pace and not exceed the speed limit but the drivers hauled ass in previous years.

So it looks like you have to hike out to spots along the track. No driving on the logging roads.... that blows

I stand corrected. No spectators allowed out along the track at all. Parking $10? Might be my last oly rally.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for a crap load of rain early next week.

Fire danger has pretty much cancelled spectating at this point other than at The Ridge. Because of that same fire danger, we have to start real early and the Parc Expose at the Capitol is also cancelled.

Keep in mind that this is not an organizer choice, it is forced by the lack of rain this year. It's a bummer, but we're bound by the landowner's policy on keeping fire from happening. There will be a looooong service at The Ridge in the middle of the day, so if you want to talk to some rallyists, this might be a great rally to do so.

This is also a good time to remind you that you can get out on the stages if you volunteer! http://www.olympusrally.com/volunteers/

Unfortunately it's not looking like rain is in the forecast, however, if you still want to watch some of the rally, we will be at the Ridge on Saturday night!

Little info needed. I see the meet/greet at 6am sat but will the ridge track be hosting the pits? Will the racedrivers be in-out during the day? My 9yr old is a big ken block fan and has been waiting months for this. I cant make the 6am due to child-pickup time. Is there a chance for him to meet ken block?

All service (pits) will be done at the ridge, times may vary throughout the day, but there will be a stage at The Ridge in the evening. There should be an opportunity to do a meet and greet if you are patient at the ridge during the day there is a huge break from 1-8pm, I'd imagine some of the top drivers will be available in that time frame.

We've seen him do autograph signings while his crew works on the car as well, you might try at that time. Services happen on Saturday at 7:30 AM (20 minutes), 10:38 AM (the long 8 hour one), 6:53 PM (20 min), and 9:32 PM. These times depend on if there are delays or not.

Even better information! It looks like Ken Block will be at Five Star Ford in Aberdeen today from 5PM to 7PM doing the whole meet and greet thing.

However, we suggest Saturday's The Ridge events for more of the inside look at rally as a whole. Come say hi!

Was a great event, hope everyone that came out had a good time. Most rallys are not like this one was and there are a ton more options for watching. We had a good time and the car ran strong all weekend. Had a couple whoops moments but we were able to get it fixed and the cat ready for more. Had a dnf on day 1 but still had a solid finish to the event.

Here's some of the photos I snapped through the weekend

This is what a 20 mile burnout on gravel looks like. These started as brand new tires...

I have some better ones from an actual camera but my WiFi is down, ill post those up at some point
