Will be back for sale soon

Bought this as a Christmas gift to myself a few years back @ Carter VW in Seattle.

Had Chris @ Fine Tuning completely go through the car.

Shipped out to MA & tossed some eBay coils on it.

Drove it around for a bit, enjoyed the hell out of it.

Car died, thought the fuel pump took a dump, it was the points that failed.

Installed a Pertronix ignitor & havent had problems since.

Had a "friend" do some work on the car that was completely unacceptable & had to bring it in for a full respray and all the rock chips and dings were removed.

H&R UUL's installed. (less than 300 miles on them).

    Bumpers are mirror polished.

    -59,445 on original 4 spd 8v drivetrain.

    Car comes with:

-completely original and unmolested seats, crackless dash, perfect door cards, perfect headliner, perfect & original interior.

-Custom color matched internal mounted horizontal blinds imported from Australia.

    -Rear mudflaps were removed

-Brand new PERFECTLY REPLICATED decals by Pat from SIGNS ON TIME (GOOSLER).

    -Techtonics short shift kit.

-Techtonics exhaust with custom chromed exhaust tip.

    -NOS Postal Tail lights.

    -PA Antique Plates.

    -VWMS oil pan guard

-4 Wheel alignment compliments of APTuning

    -new Austrian front camber plates.

-Custom narrowed ream beam (thanks to Nick)

-Both passenger & driver side frame notched.

-all new hoses, plugs, belts, even a brand new fuse box.

-Compomotive Turbo Mag Wheels These Wheels
    --colormatched
    --chromed lips
    --15x8 ET13 up front
    --15x8 ET 0 out back
--165/45/15 with less than 200 miles on them

    NO TRADES.
    NO TEST DRIVES.
Car is currently located at RMA Auto Body in Palmyra PA

    Thanks for looking,

    Paul

F Santa! how do I get onto your Christmas list?!

As someone who bought a lot of cars over the years (20 years, 150++ MK1&MK2's) to drive and play with, I recently was in a hurry and grabbed a MK1 that was way out of my normal price range (the kind where you lie and say you paid less, so you're not judged by your friends and family...) because the previous owner did the zillion little things to it that people do when they have the cash and they think they're keeping it forever, which are things they can never really get anywhere near their time and money out of again when they go to sell the car... and I know, having done them myself over and over.

I wish there was a way I could share just how "worth it" it turned out to be, both in time, effort, money, repairs, storage, etc etc etc... plus the true fun of driving something awesome from day one. From now on, this is the type of deal I'd look for FIRST the next time I need to buy a car. I just had to say something, when I saw the price and remembering what I used to think about this level of car and price and what I think now, and how much closer to a real value I now realize something like this really is.

Bump for a super nice car and a reasonable price.

I know you said the engine had a complete going through and by looking at the rest of the car I have no doubts everything is there and straight, I just wanted to see how clean the engine area was since the going thru was complete thats all. BTW she is an absolute BEAUTY! Thanks!
