    Thread: Two-Door Renderings

    1. 09-06-2012 06:08 PM #26
Imo the 2 door suits this design way better than the 4 door. In both cases I am not liking the droopy looking rear end. The one area that they hit the bulls eye is balancing the front & rear overhang, they appear to have reduced the front overhang to mid-engine-like proportions. Cant wait to see the 2 door GTI.
I am a VW Fan, but above all I am a Car Fan.

I really like this. I think VW is making me but a new car again. It they make an mk VII-R
The square body lines and shapes, gas door, Love it.

Renderings are droopy - not the actual car. Look: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dr4qYkJNNl...olf-MK7-13.jpg

The MK7 looks to simple , I think VW is losing the aggressive look with the GTI, with the arrival of former mk6 gti had taken up that feeling of super car, but again turns to see a simple 2-door car.

By that way the company will vw, with the change of line on cars, I remember that before between one model and another had five years apart, now only spend three years and now we see a new version

in my opinion i think this looks way more aggressive than the 6, which looks more like a girlier version

Not sure if this has been seen yet, but there are actual / in-the-flesh pictures of the 2-door in this link:

Click through the "spy" photos and you can see what it looks like for real. Not sure if I like the kinked window, but I don't dislike it either.

They had to use the kinked window so that we can differentiate it from a MK6.

and also to accentuate the shape of the c-pillar but mirroring the line that connects the taillights to the wheel

the "roundness" of the A$$ end is pretty prominent opposed to the mk6. possilby trying to go back to the roots and maybe make the scirocco not look like it so much screw the new generations coming out within such short periods of time lately bring us something interesting and different such as the rocco or the pickup

In the same breath, they should also use the door line to accentuate the A-pillar and the bumper line, now that would be an awesome theme. Hell, they could also give the B & C pillar the same slope while they are at it.

It is a very strange looking window kink.

Here are the first official pictures:

... of the official MkVII die-cast model.

Available at your local VW dealer in Germany within the next few days.

More seriously, any styling elements on these are true replicas of the real car.

      nice two-tone roof...
still like the look though, at least in some of the photoshop forms. the rear isn't that great, but sure it will grow on me. wishing there was still an uprated version to the rumored R...Guess we will see if a special edition comes out in the next few years. probably 2018, but I don't want to wait THAT long...unless the carbon edition is reality.
