I purchased new cases for my key through this company and it worked really really well!

Here's my notes...

The circuit board in my old key was held in by two pins that were melted down to keep it in place. The new encasement had those pins but I did not melt them down. Everything holds in fine and my buttons work perfectly.

The uncut key blade in the kit worked great. However, when I put my old key blade in the new encasement it did not move smoothly. Also, I tried pulling the transponder from that same half and it was a bear. I was afraid of breaking the transponder. As such, I reused one half of the key blade side of the clamshell (the side with the button). I think this is barely noticable and allows my rebuilt keyfob to work perfectly. As a side note, I used the new chrome button that came with the kit so that it looks perfect.

The German flag sticker that the kit comes with is already cracking at the colors after only a few hours of use. I don't expect this button will look good for very long.

Overall, I'm very happy with this kit. It fit perfect, was pretty easy to do, looks great, and lets met put my VW key back on my key ring! I've hated the broken chrome bar for so long!
