      Price $25,000

      Price Drop $23,500.00

Need to sell the car $19,500

I need to sell the car I love it so much but have new toys I want to buy, need someone to take it off my hands ASAP

      Car is in San Diego
I shipped it here from PA when I bought it and it cost 1500 bucks to ship it, I will assist in shipping if you want (I wont pay for shipping but I will meet with the truck if you need me to). The car is amazing and I love it more than anything but I have a newborn and bought a family car so my poor little R32 just sits there begging to drive. I want it to have a good home!

Power everything, Leather heated seats, Moonroof

The car has been owned by three owners, i believe all are Vortex members including myself. I got the car with about 17K on it if I remember correctly. It has minimal mods to include:

Koni coilovers with about 15K on them
      APR ECU
      Diesel Geek Panzer Plate
      Diesel Geek short shifter
      Unibrace
Volk-I stereo with bluetooth and USB
      Black powder coated Aristos

The car has been serviced by the same certified Audi/VW mechanic for the extent of its life with me. The Haldex filter and oil was just changed. It has brand new Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires with about 100 miles on them. It is tinted all around including the upper visor area on windshield.

I have a color matched SWG drivers side mirror and a drilled airbox that I will toss in. I also have a custom car cover made by california car covers that I can give you a good deal on if you want it.

I work a million hours and have a newborn so I don't have time to haggle or give test drives to people for fun. I will take serious offers via PM. If you are serious we can talk on the phone or via email. Let me know if you have any questions.

I can speak to the cleanliness of this car, as I was the previous owner.

It's the only car I truly regret selling. Hopefully it goes to good home that will treat this absolutely ridiculously mint car the way it's been treated it's entire life.

How it looked when I owned it:

It was stored November - March when I had it here on the eastcoast. Never seen bad weather or winters. I rarely drove the damn car.

Buy with confidence. I miss it.

I hate to sell it to but I too just don't have time to drive it. The car is just as amazing as the day I got it from Jon. It has been taken care of like a queen. Jon feel free to buy it back if you want to . It still has the registration stickers on it from PA!!

Nice ride, I'd be interested at 20/21K but I think being 8 years old my bank probably would balk even with the low mileage. It's a real gem you got there.

      master:

      Any issues with your clear coat? It's a documented problem I'm sure you're aware of, I know you and R32slutt have high prices on your cars and they are nice cars, no doubt; I'd prefer one stock with silver aristos and stock everything;

I told R32 I'd be interested in the $19,000 range (28k miles); I'd be interested in your's for around the same money. But I know you want more, just throwing that out there.

It sat in my garage and collected dust when I had it. So I can speak that up until 2010 the car had ZERO paint issues.

Zero paint issues, aside from the little rock chip here and there, the car is pristine not even a hint of clearcoat issues

just from an objective standpoint -

i think you've got a few things hindering people from buying -
      1. price - many will buy a MKV R32 for the same money and still have some warranty period left; many do like DSG too

      2. the wheels; i'm not a fan of black wheels myself, but i think many want the car to look stock - at least that's what i would prefer if i was buying it; along with stock suspension etc.

      3. i think you've got a lot of potential buyers east of the mississippi and transport costs to the east coast are probably going to be close to $2000 to NJ/VA/FL etc.

So assuming an east coast buyer paid your price, now they are at another 2000 to get it there.

Personally, if I were buying it, i'd fly out and drive it home. 1. I love san diego 2. i've always wanted to drive from the west coast back to the midwest (Wisconsin) and see some states i've not seen

But I can't see many from the east coast willing to pay $4.00/gallon to drive 3000 miles.

I think if you got the car back to stock as possible and a more realistic price, the car is gone in a heartbeat. But that's just my objective perspective.

I think 18,000/19,000 is realistic for a car that's 8 years old, without a warranty, and slightly modded. you're competing with Golf R and MK V R32 buyers, in my honest opinion.

Yes it is 8 years old but it has the miles of a 3 year old car. When I bought it I had no issue paying the cost to ship it across the county, because I wanted the car. I appreciate your advice but it really just sounds like you don't like my car or the price. You suggest I take it back to stock? It would cost me a ton of money to do that, makes no sense. If you look there are cars with double the miles that mine has and they are asking close to 20k. Its a tough economy so I'm not expecting it to sell overnight but I'm sure that the right buyer who appreciates what I am offering will pay what I'm asking or close to it.

You asked what it's going to take to sell it. So i told you. As i was in the market for R32's i told you what i'm looking for and i think most are looking for the same thing -

      -unmodded/stock
      -low miles
-fair price or a market value price

It has nothing to do with liking your car or not - I'm going on what I've seen in shopping the market for almost a year--

R32Slutt put his car up, lower miles than your's, pristine, stock, he wanted 25,000 for it. he claims he got offered 24k but is keeping it b/c he loves it. i think he swallowed his pride and realized nobody's going to pay that much for an 8 year old car. i was willing to give him $21,000 and he didn't take it.

This guy got $21,000 for his car, 21,000 miles:
      http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-Miles-(Cle-OH)

At the end of the day, market value is what someone is willing to pay for it. Nobody's been willing to pay $25,000 nobody's willing to pay $23,500, so at this point your price seems to be your main problem.

As far as taking it back to stock yeah, it would cost money, but most guys who buy these cars, keep all of the stock parts for resale. I understand you bought it modified. Fair enough, but the market for modified cars is much smaller than stock cars. People want the car stock so they can put their own vision into the car; not to mention people worry about a modified car having been abused unless they know the owner. It's not uncommon for kids to beat a car and then dump it. I ended up being the buyer of an abused GTI, which was amazingly pristine on the outside, only to find out the kid traded it in b/c VW was denying him warranty coverage for abuse on the clutch and transmission. I was lucky b/c I forced the dealer to take the car back.

All I'm saying is, I've seen stock R32s, as clean as your's sell much quicker, with a reasonable price. If the car looked like the previous owner had it, that might also have helped.

You're competing with GOLF R and MK V R32 buyers, i know b/c I am one of those buyers.

You'll either end up keeping it or dropping your price to a market value. Imagine what a dealership would give you for it on a trade in. They'd probably throw 17k at you at most and try and sell it for 20k.

I kept all the stock parts for the sole reason of selling the car stock, because I knew most people would want it that way.

The only things on the car when I sold it were the APR chip and the SWG mirror.

It is a great car, but I do think the prices have come down on these cars slightly. Personally, I think the $20k range is more than fair.

Jon I am starting to agree, I guess you have to shake the bush to see what falls out first. I would definitely take offers in the 20-21k zone. I just hate seeing it sit there and want to be driven. Sadly I have come to enjoy driving my Subaru Outback, this is what it feels like to get old!

I do have the original shifter linkage and the original radio, those are the only two things that I have changed and not simply added. The panzer plate, Unibrace and tint can all be taken out, I just put new tires on it too, like I have driven about 100 miles on them new.

I do have the original shifter linkage and the original radio, those are the only two things that I have changed and not simply added. The panzer plate, Unibrace and tint can all be taken out, I just put new tires on it too, like I have driven about 100 miles on them new.
I hope you do get good money for it. It's certainly worth it.

I'll give it the best home it could possibly have right here in classy San Diego. It's begging to be driven and I'm begging to be behind the wheel. Let's make this happen
