hi all, i currently have an 89 cabby with the original 1.8v with CIS. im thinking seriously to replace all the CIS stuff and install the K403 weber IDF 40 kit, mainly for cleaning up the engine bay and doing something different. i already have the Autotech 270 cam installed and runs awesome btw.
My question here is, will the cam be an ok match for the IDF 40? or is it too big/small of a cam? or am i wasting my time all together
all the searching i did, pretty much gave me a bunch of 'for sale' threads and aircooled vw stuff. i guess the watercooled 8v and single IDF is not a popular mix???
also, any good/bad feedback on the kit will be extremely helpful!!
thanks
travis

It is impossible to find a suitable manifold i think. İf you want an agressive carb go for weber DGAS instead of IDF. İntakes are already available. or for max performance you can use bike carbs or DCOE weber ofcourse.

Dcoe is the way to go. You can find them used or still get new kits. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/Produ...oductCode=K407
