For what it's worth, a 2013 Altima V6 is faster, more fuel efficient, and a similar interior size. It's not RWD though, and I think a test drive could sell me on a 300S or Pentastar Charger if it came down to it.

I'm looking for a comfortable highway cruiser that still has a bit of style / swagger, with respectable power, and handling that isn't going to be too depressing. I keep reading that these two Chryslers are solid values. Some people reporting poor fit and finish on the interior, while others rave about it.
The Pentastar V6 has gotten favorable reviews for having a good balance of power and economy, especially with the 8-spd ZF transmission found in the 300 and Charger.
What else should I look at?
The Taurus looks good but the MyFord Touch seems to be a mess.
How about the Passat SE with 280HP VR6?

What about the Chrysler 200? You can get the Pentastar engine in that as well. My friend has a 200 S, it's a good car. Very comfortable, interior is nice and I believe he's actually run a 14.38 in the 1/4 mile with it lol.
Edit: Also he has a Corsa exhaust on his 200S, I highly recommend that if you go pentastar. That exhaust sounds effing amazing.

FWIW I test drove the 2.5L Passat yesterday and it's a nice car, albeit a bit under powered on the highway. But it's roomy, comfortable, and feels very well put together.
Ride is solid and it drives smaller than it looks like it should. Sight lines are good and seats are comfy.
The VR6's are scarce in my area, but I think this car would really wake up with the six and a good set of springs.
