Why? the GLI has better looking stuff from the factory.

Whats up vortex, I have a platinum gray 05 gli and im interested in the votex bumpers both front and rear, have any of you guys had them on and did you go with optiwerks or ecstuning or other? How much did you end up paying for paint and if you could post some pics, i have only seen a few on the GLI PIC thread and need some more opinions!

Aaron- When you have to notch your frame so you can set your car ALL THE WAY on the ground, you need to seriously evaluate your priorities.

Get OEM, they have less fitment problems, and of course, OEM quality. Paint cost is dependent on YOUR local shop...
My car wasn't a GLI, but I loved my votex front end...
And though it isn't a 20th, Cynthia's (black mamba) GTI with custom Votex bumper is soooo tits. It's made me think about not running my full euro front end..

folks, yeah i would definitely run the original gli set up but my car came with a stock jetta lip and not the amazing gli lip when i bought itand this one has chips in it as well, so i thought, well hey! i might as well look into getting a sick bumper instead of paying 450 for a gli lip, but the oem votex are like 900 right? and optiwerks doesnt fit as well?
p.s. im in college so the cooler my car looks the more NEGATIVE attention it gets(keyers)

Buy a votex bumper. Chop the jetta top half off, graft a golf/gti top half to it, viola. Good luck.
