this is just a thought but that might be a lil small for your power goals .. seems like you are building it for some high boost on the 630 tune .. the t4 .68 might spool too soon with all that power and put wear n tear on the tranny

anyone else agree? I have the t4 .68 and it spools fully at 3750 rpms .. granted my 6162 is a bunch smaller than your 6266 (few hundred rpms quicker spool time).. but if you are running 25-30 psi and making 550-600 whp and you are making that THAT quick you might start breaking drivetrain parts .. just a thought

my power goals are in the 400whp range for daily driving.. then higher for the track... i definitely know the tranny is going to be a weak link that will be addressed down the road..

my plan was to dyno at 10psi... then dyno at 20psi.. and as long as all the fuel looks great set my EBC for those 2 numbers..... and then pick a setting for the situation..

X2 no tranny issues with mine. Get unitedmotorsport tune and no lift shift lf your not running that already, you will have a blast, and be able to smoke anything in your Hp range.

Except a MkV with DSG and UM tune with spark cut during shifts and the same HP.

Just couldn't resist. Let's get out and beat on it again. I wanna see what Jeff has done with this no lift shift thing.

I don't know about the OP, but for me I live in Vermont and never use it. Also, It was extra s*** ( amongst other things )under the hood that I wanted gone to lighten up the nose a bit.

pretty much exactly why.. more crap under the hood that will retain heat, block the radiator, and weight something... it is not my daily driver so the AC removal will be fine.. our engines run hot.. and obviously hotter with a turbo... sooo take the condenser out will help the radiator do its job, as well as shave some weight.

Haha DSG doesn't count, it shift too fast. And the car is parked for the season so next year we can go out. Still thinking if i want more power.

max arent you running 18 psi? this guys going all out on his motor so he would be capable of running 25+ psi which is roughly another 100+ whp on top of where you are at

I had a Spec clutch explode on my old GTI. As for the Mishimoto, It fit like **** and leaked until I messed with o-rings forever. Then a few months later it sprung a leak. The OEM rad fits, better, cools just as good, and is overall less of a headache.

This is what I was getting at. HPA claims 600 TQ / 600HP. I assume thats crank power, but when i talked to Keir, he said that the Pressure Plate is different but with the same P/N stamped in it as the SPEC spec'd STG3.

no boost at all. NA motor with 80k on it.. i was cruising at 80mph and then BAM! this was the original block that i destroyed.... not really sure what caused it, but 3 rod bearings were destroyed, as well as the one broke rod.. the other half was stuck in the crank...

the new block is being built for boost..
