I was in the middle lane of the service road of a local highway the other morning. Light was red. I was in the middle lane that was a left turn / straight option. There was a lady in a brand new Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in the left lane that is left turn only option. Light turns green, start to make a left turn underneath the tollway... BAM! Lady in the truck went straight into my Audi A3. She never turned. Car spun 180 degrees. Lady admitted 100% fault to her insurance, which is good considering I have a Dash-Cam that caught it all on video in case she was to dispute the claim. Can't wait to see what rental car I get. Check out the vid...

Jesus what music is that? I need to have that on b/c if she would have hit me (even in my old Outback) I'm pretty sure I would have been a lot more pissed.

I see these becoming more popular here in North America pretty soon. We need to catch up to the Russians and their crazy dash cam videos

I am using the Smarty Blackbox BX1500. Paid $200 for it, and like I said... It already paid for itself.

Why did she go straight? That's sort-of a weird thing to do.

    She even hung back..... weird.

I see people get in turn lanes and then try and beat the other lane across so they can pass in the intersection and go straight.

Funny you ask. I actually remember looking at her when I started going because she held back. She was on her phone. I was so pissed at her.

Here is something else for you, I called the police to come out and make a report. The lady driving asked me why I did that? I told her that I wanted a report for my own protection. She got upset that I called and told me that she couldn't wait because she had "things to do." I blew up. I told her that if she left, I would call it a hit and run. I yelled at her that my time is just as valuable as hers, and that she inconvenienced me, so the least she could do is wait until the cops got there. People are so f'n unbelievable.

She has **** to do, jerk. Can't you see she was busy updating her mobile Facebook with a status update that said she'd be somewhere. But now she can't be there because you're busting her balls, forcing her to update her status again. The huge manatee!

Obviously not! Wow... My first though was even if you were 3/4's asleep, as long as you were looking forward you'd notice a vehicle turning in front of you and should instinctively try to not hit it! I mean... any average driver should have been able to notice what was going on even with their peripheral vision (if you were looking down at something).

That's pretty damn sad/pathetic... Driver damaged two pretty new/expensive vehicles. Glad the owner/poster caught it on dash cam. They seem like a pretty damn good idea!.

People can admit fault then later say something else.

How do you like it? Would you buy again or would you look for something else if you had to? Does it hide behind the rear view mirror or does it stand out a bit?

Condolences on the damage. Hope you're not hurt.

I've been thinking about picking up a dash cam off and on and thanks to this and yet another close call on I-30 yesterday I've decided to pick up the same one you have. I notice Amazon features the 120 and 170, both for the same price. So which one would be the better choice? I know the 170 would capture a larger area, but would it lose resolution?

Why did you continue toward the intersection at speed when you can clearly see there's someone turning?

Nice job ramming full speed into an intersection there, sport.
