Thread: Is there anyone using Airlift air ride ? about rear shock .

Can the original rear shocks (or other Replacement shock like KW) can be used with Airlift bag on the Golf6 GTI Airlift air ride system?
Will it make any mistake ? Is it same low as the Airlift rear shock?

ya u can use the stock ones, air lift ones, konis, kw, fks.... it just determines what kind of lift you get.

im pretty sure stock ones go higher than the airlift ones if im not mistaken

Stock shocks will not appreciate the low driving and are going to be more prone to blow out. Air lifts have a very short shock body and will give you the most drop unless you can use some from a coilover kit you have or something. IMO for over the money and get bilsteins. That's what I did, yeah I don't tuck as hard as the airlift rear guys, but I'm willing to bet my ride quality is better.
