The time has come to part ways with my '08 Rabbit 2.5T.
I am the original owner of this car (title in hand, no lien), having logged just over 61,6XX miles. CARFAX
This car is not my daily driver, so the mileage increase will be MINIMAL while this thread exists. It's currently only driven on weekends and, at this rate, only one weekend a month. Most of the miles put on it in the last year were to Waterfest in New Brunswick, NJ & SoWo in Helen, GA.

This car has been featured as Black Forest Industries' Project 2.5T.
All work has been done by either myself, or BFI's technicians.
Receipts are available for all routine maintenance, oil changes, aftermarket parts, etc.

There are no major problems, but there some minor cosmetic issues with the car. Usual stuff for a car that's 5+ years old..
There are small rock chips on the hood, a couple small door dings, a minor scuff on the front bumper and, the worst of them all, a crack in the lower portion of the windshield courteous of a rock on the freeway. *see pictures for damages
Overall, none of these cosmetic imperfections take away from the overall appeal of the car.

Mechanically the car runs great - there are no CELs, no hidden probelms. The car just passed NC Emissions this month (Jan 2013) without issue.

I'm probably crazy for selling the car, but having been doing this for over a decade and the reality is, projects come and go.

Test drives will be arranged for serious inquiries. Please contact me via PM.

    Over 60k on the car.
All of the engine work was done this spring.
There's maybe 5,000 miles on it.
For the past year I've lived only 4 miles from work, so mileage accumulates slowly.

Haven't dynoed it, but it's plenty fast.
It gets away from 95% of the cars on the road.

    Stock internals.
Plenty of Stage 3 cars are on still internals with a headspacer.

Check out the 2.5 Technical Forum.
    Lots of information in there.

    Thanks for the compliments.

How long did it take [install time]? Well, that will vary based on experience.
I've been a VW enthusiast for over a decade, so I know my way around these cars fairly well. If I'm not confident with my abilities, I have our Master Tech knock it out for me. The turbo install, for example, was done by him in an afternoon, likewise on the clutch install.

Cost? If you start to add up the retail cost of everything, it's probably around $10,000 worth of aftermarket parts. I spent a little less then retail given my unique relationship with BFI, so I might've saved 15% off total expenses.

Let's put it this way - there's no way you would be able to buy a stock 2008 2.5l with 60k miles and build it to where it's at right now for the same or less then what I'm selling it for.

The right buyer will come around sooner then later. Once they do, they'll be stoked to own this car- it's really a blast to drive!

No, it will need to be modified.
Difficulty level is 4/10 - not hard at all.

I drove the Rabbit on Saturday for the first time in a couple of weeks.
Still sounds great and makes my 1.8t GLI feel like a giant turd.
Hurry up before I come to my senses and keep it!

I drove the Rabbit this past Saturday to attend C&C and a local event.
Still drives great, plenty fast and gets a lot of positive attention.
    I'm open to [serious] offers.
    PM if interested.

Cruised to a local GTG and walked away from a Mk6 Stage 2 GTI several times; all in good fun. 2.5T > 2.0T
PM me and we'll make arrangements for a test drive.

    Thanks.

I've had plenty of interest up to this point, but no takers.
A local enthusiast is checking it out on Saturday, so this may be my last bump.
    We'll see..

They're floating around somewhere, but they're all in-car and the sound isn't captured well.
