Anyone think this could be the cam adjuster recall??? My VIN doesn't apply but it is a 2011....???? Maybe to soon for this model/year....

Well I had to leave my car at the dealer today cause they are having a hard time diagnosing a misfire issue with #2 cylinder.
All the obvious has been done.
Plugs all new.
They replaced the injector and swapped coils around and the issues still resided at #2 cylinder.
They are also seeing vacuum issue. When they pull the oil cap the enging should kind of fall on its face and it dosent at all....????
Car is a A4
2011
2.0T with 46,000 miles,
car has a FORGE BOV and a intake that is it for aftermarket parts.
They say there is no carbon build up and all four cylinders have been tested for leakdown and compression...
Any suggestions, I know they are going to blame everything on the BOV and intake....
Thanks
Josh

Dealer replace my BOV with the stock Divert er valve and the car still has the same issue....

Got a call today, now saying the cause is carbon build up on the exhaust valves. Funny the fist day I was there I asked if the valves had build up on them.
"nope we looked at them when we replaced a injector...." Did they lie? Maybe....

all I can say is its the dealership.....And I have found out that just because its a dealership it doesn't mean you can trust them. I see you are from NH as well. For future reference if you have trouble with your car I recommend JFJ Autoworks in Manchester. Its just one guy. His name is Jeremy and he is amazing with Audis. www.jfjautoworks.com![]()

You can only see the intake valves when you pull the intake manifold off. You need to pull the exhaust manifold/turbo off to see the exhaust valves....

Well, They still have my car... I got a call last Friday saying everything is covered under warranty except the stock diverter valve they replaced my BOV with.... The service writer said they just needed to drive my car, and I should have it back by Monday. I got no call on Monday and no car...
Very strange...

They are saying it was probably caused by a sticky lifter.

Well My A4 was suppose to be delivered to me today. The dealer ran the car around a bit with the the new cylinder head and they were not getting any more misfires.
The driver of the the car made it about 5 min from the delivery destination and the car started acting up again! As I wait over an hour with no call, all my personals pulled out of the loaner car..... I call the dealership to ask if they knew the status of my car? They say they were just looking for my number to call me to let me know.... oh welll...
Also today the dealer had a bill for me $690. previously At one point I was told on the phone all I was paying for was the Stock diverter valve they put in place of my Forge to try in resolve the issue, and the plugs i requested.
So what I was charges for:
Plugs $68
Injector for cylinder #2 $180. I requested this to be replaced.
Diverter-valve $42 Got one of these at home in a box
Sound rite?
After chatting a bit on the phone with the service manager He brought my bill down to $290... But still no car. LOL.
SO Over $5000. in warranty repairs and the car still has an issue. And they still want to charge the customer.
Lets see what they tell me tomorrow AM.

I see it keeps getting better! What type of issues were they having after the head replacement? The same exact idle misfire?

After replacing the head, they drove it around a bit let it sit over night then drove it around again with no issues. It was after the driver was delivering the car back to me an hour and a half drive back to my house is when it started acting up again.
Im still waiting on a call. They didn't know yet because it was late in the day and the driver didn't have the car back in the shop yet.
Ill let you know as soon as i find out.

Just got a call back, the o-ring on injector #1 was bad.... So a different issue than before.
I'm still demanding a trade in price to get rid of this car.

To make everything even better now my pass side front fender has weird spots all over it. Its from some chemical and its not rubbing off. Awesome the tech must have sprayed something that should not touch paint!!!!
