But yeh, a pogo GTi is now a cheap proposition, but it is DSG only and is common as on both the new and used market, hence why I sold the Pogo for $28k, that is a very large % depreciation in 16 months, the mini I think will fare much much better.

Coincidentally a mate of mine is considering selling/trading his 12-14 month old Pogo for a regular JCW and he was offered 19K for a trade in.

It's an early MY12 build, so I'm guessing it's 14 months old, or thereabouts.

The mini is more than just a Cooper S with a few of those goodies. It has A nice red strut brace, big brakes and recaros too.

Seriously though, the engine has actually been warmed over for it to withstand track abuse. Aluminium block, Lighten crankshaft, strengthen pistons and cylinder, ceramic coated exhaust valves etc. Which leads me to my next point. This engine is suitable for ECU tuning for a wee bit more powah as it has been strengthen.

And the second you take it anywhere near a Track they'll cancel your warranty......

I love MINIs and Minis. No issue paying $60s for one. When it is under $100k, whether it is $35 or $65 I see them as the same so I'll just pretend the GP is $35k.

As for canceling warranty, there is only one brand I know of that won't cancel your warranty (in Australia) for taking it to the track!

And I enjoyed every minute of it - worth every cent. I'd be tempted to order one of these if I was in Australia. I miss my Cooper S more than any other car I have owned.

It's funny. Speak to most of us who had the R53 MCS and we all love it and enjoyed every second of it. It's not like it's the best car I've ever had obviously because I've been privileged to own some seriously awesome tools. But this one was just so memorable.

I hope the GP doesn't let me down.

Poor MINI You KNOW they don't like it when they are neglected like that!! Would love to see it out on the track again - and soon

Still have my R53 - she is 10 yrs old now and will never be sold. Everyone I know that has sold theirs still misses it!! Besides, you just cannot beat the supercharger whine, something the turbo R56 just doesn't have. Then again, some people have one of each, so the best of both, eh Robbo?

My poor MINI hasn't been out on the track since July, and is starting to pout! Not through any fault of the MINI either - (driver still recovering from hand surgery). Can't wait to get back out there - hopefully next month!
