I was wonder for those of you that have lowered tigs, mainly coilovers, if you have expereincee any creaking sounds in the front. I used my OEM sway bar/bushings/end links and I think that could be the issue. For those with coilover have you changed to shortened end links / aftermarket sway bar? My sound is not a constant issue. Mainly first thing in the morning, or if the Tig has been sitting for several hours, backing out of my driveway and pulling off at low speads. Once I get to normal driving speads, over 20 mph the sound goes away and doesn't come back unless it's been setting a while or I am backing out sharply and move forward at low speeds. Once back up over 20 mph it's going and I have no sound even at low speeds.

My friend who works at VW, and installed my coils, said that it's just the nature of the beast when lowering your car. There are going to be creaks. It started around the time the car settled too. It still happens every time the car has been sitting overnight or at work for 9 hours, however, within five mintues after driving it's gone and does not return, even at low speeds so I will just learn to deal with it. I might regrease the bushings to see if that helps somewhat.

What type of coilovers does she have? I'm wondering if it's ST Coilover thing because I've had another member on this board hit me up with the same issue.

remember i asked u that, my car creaks like crazy now, i replaced the end links, the strut mounts and bearings, im about to replace the sway bar too. it sounds so bad, even though it looks really good, but the noise is really getting to me, and st wont do a damn thing about it, i have never had creaks like this in any of my other vw's with coilovers, this is by far the worst, they send me out new collars, that aint gonna do anything. im thinking its the struts and or springs, because its really bad in the front, the rears are fine.

Same here, my rears are fine. Mine is every morning, and as mentioned usually goes away within the first few mintues of driving. This morning it dipped into the 50's, and due to the cooler weather it seemed to do it more fequent. When it does make the notice I can feel a slight virbration under my feet. The only thing I know is to raise it up some and see if he sound goes away, maybe too low. Mine were fine the first 1000 miles until it settle a bit more and then the sound started.

If you find a fix let me know.

believe u me i think the only fix is to get rid of this terrible company, u figured they are made by kw u figure they would go the extra mile customer service wise but they dont care, they want u to send them in, almost every other company will send u out new ones especially with a 5 year warranty, and then u send back the bad ones. this noise is so annoying and it gets worse and worse every day. i wish fk would make coils for our trucks id, take these off and buy them in a heartbeat, only reason i bought these were because st and kw at the time were the only ones that made them for the tiguan. and to spend 600.00 more for kw's dont make sense.

From what I've been told by a friend who is a VW Master Tech (and who installed them for me)...it's the shock sticking. After it moves, of course, it goes away

Doesn't hurt or compromise anything.....just one of those things: you pay to play (the modding game)
