While I was visiting Philly, the timing belt of my 1996 Volkswagen GTI broke and, according to a mechanic, the engine valves might have been damaged (I'm not 100% convinced as they didn't do a comprehensive test). Since it's an old car, and I don't live anywhere near Philadelphia to work on it properly, I'm trying to sell it locally and quickly. If I don't find a buyer this week, I'll probably sell it to the scrapyard for their $200 quote. I will hand off the car title to any buyer who's interested in picking it up for cheap. This would make a solid parts car too.

Color: Black
Interior: Cloth GTI seats
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Milage: 135,000-ish (I can't check exact milage right now)
Engine: 2.0L

Condition: Body rust on left side, steering works fine, transmission is fine, suspension is worn but works, engine valves probably damaged, needs new timing belt, coolant system is fine, air/gas systems are fine, AC is fine, interior is fine, exhaust/catalytic converter is relatively new, emergency brake doesn't work but I have new cables ready to install, lights work fine
