Meaning that it's expensive? Then yes. On motorsportsreg you can find casual autocross/car control clinics run by groups like PCA or ACNA or BMWCCA etc. asking $50 for a whole day's worth of runs and instruction.

Please note that the groupon says "Good through Oct 31st" but the website where you actually register says that there is only one more date in NY/NJ, and that is Sep 28th. So make sure that day works for you! If you're going to the Long Island site, you have a few more choices. I have two of these groupons I bought a while back for me and my Dad, was hoping to use them in Oct as they usually come visit, but now looks like a no-go. Might have to use both myself.

If anyone remembers the incident in Jets/ Giant stadium http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...unday.../page2

This is what they were doing there. You get to drive one of these cars supervised on a cone auto x course.

this is the EXACT SAME deal gotham was offering for that weekend in question. my MIL tried to buy it for me as a gift. i turned it down; had stuff to do with my kids. the same morning that i was supposed to go up there for my "thrill ride" is when that gotham employee/family member "running for gas" murdered a dude.

i find it best NOT to support companies who disrespect their merchandise, the hobby they serve, and the safety of innocents. those cars are TRASHED and THRASHED and the people that run the company are dime store hoods.

you'd have more fun buying two tickets to great adventure riding roller coasters and checking out half naked 19 year old chicks all day.

Did this yesterday with a friend.
Fun event overall - things to note:
    - they don't want you to downshift to 1st
    - they also do not want you to push the cars to the point where the tires are screeching

Drove both cars- the 430 is a much better car than the gallardo

So it is 3 laps in each car? That's pretty good since the ad made it seem you pick one car.

I'm involved with a different supercar experience company, and I don't think it's fair to broad stroke all of the companies the same way.

I can't speak to the condition of any other company's cars, and can only go off of their YouTube videos in regards to their courses, but the company I work with has very well maintained cars, and we have fast, fun courses.

We did the ones in Foxborough Mass in June, as well as this weekend. We'll be back in Foxborough in two weeks.

The way our event functions is that you pick "Ferrari" or "Lamborghini". If there is a specific model that we have that you want to drive, you can work it out in line - the flow of operations dictates that the first person in lime goes to the first available car.

We take you out (in Boston anyways) on a mirror image course with two long straights, where most of our customers hit about 70. You do three hot laps and pit in. If you want to drive more, you can for $89/car after your first, or you can have myself or one of my instructors take you for a ride.

We put a lot of people through the cars this week (Thurs/Fri/Sat) and all I saw was ear-to-ear grins as people exited the cars.

This weekend we had the following cars, which we'll have again in two weeks:

    F430 Scuderia
    F430 coupe
    F430 convertible
    599 GTB
    (2) LP560-4 convertibles
    LP550-2

If you guys have any questions about Imagine Lifestyles events in Boston (Foxborough), or the upcoming events in Seattle, San Francisco, or L.A., I'd be happy to answer them. Our goal is to get you in the car, have you go really fast, and leave safely with a smile. So far, we've done a great job accomplishing that.

That accident also shut down day two of SCCA Northeast Divisionals, as we were two lots over from them.

Thankfully the good folks at the meadowlands didn't stop us from running future events there - it's the best lot in the northeast, maybe on the east coast.

My buddy and I did six laps down in Foxboro this past Friday, he had the F430 and I was in the Gallardo. I wish they'd let us drive the Scuderia, but we were told they weren't planning on putting it on the track unless another car had to come off. Either way it was a lot of fun, here's a quick side-by-side vid of our second set of three laps:
