Looking for either a "nice" (I will pay $$ for NOS) used front rad support off of a 74/75 Scirocco with the metal "duckbill". I'll also consider just a the lower portion with the duckbill only if someone has access. Figure I'll try here before I make a replica from scratch

Help me get the one of the last bits I need to restore my 77

Unless it is a 74-75 I'm not interested. Thanks.

I have the entire front support. Shipping to PA from CA of something that big would be pretty pricey though I'd imagine.

Any pictures? Shipping via Greyhound isn't too bad and I also have a Fedex account I can use since we get shipping breaks through my work..

I'll try to get a pic this weekend. Has a bit of surface rust on the back side down under the radiator support area - I think they all do because of poor paint coating in that area. The lip got folded under in the middle at some point and I restored it about 90% with hammer and dolly. Otherwise nice and solid, and I cut it out on the back so there are no holes where the spot welds are.

Ok thanks sounds like the most important part for me has damage.. so pics of the damage would definitely be important. Thanks for the reply

No it's a 74-75-ish only Scirocco thing. The bottom of the rad support had a metal "duckbill" stamped into the metal from the factory. Really small detail, but if I am restoring the car I'd prefer this look over a plastic rabbit duckbill.

    Thanks though,

    Matt

I didn't have enough time today to get the pics before the sun went down. Will try after I get home during the week.

Wow, I use to have a rust free one of these. Ended up shipping it to Alaska. GL in your search!

Might be worth getting a shipping quote. Mine should be in the post arriving soon.

Nice find! A guy in the U.S. seems to have one complete with some of the inner fender bits I need so I'll probably opt for that.. but man that's tempting to just sit on the shelf!

    Thanks dude
