This week im hoping to get all of the electronics and wiring out of the car, need to figure out how to get the windows out, and start shopping for a subframe and a transmission.

Would a o2m not be a good idea on this one? What tranny should i stick in it? (probably will end up around the 500whp range)

Ya but what about the 500whp this car is going to see? my 12v turbo made 357whp and was told good luck with the 02J if I wanted anymore power.

Anyways, got ALL the wiring out of the car and am headed to the volkswagen graveyard this weekend to find a mkIII subframe and some other goodies. I lucked out and found this guy who has TONS on mk2 &3 stuff

Thanks! Im still working on stripping all the sound deadening from it, hopefully the car will be ready for media blasting in a couple weeks, decided against the acid dipping. After that getting a cage welded in, and seat rails for some sparco's i may be snagging for it.

Heck yes! I cant wait to get this one going, will get some update pictures this weekend, but its more dismantling stuff, getting ready to be media blasted. And I have a good friend at PFI motorsports that will be doing the cage after the blasting


Other than that I am hunting a transmission, cant decide between the o2j or o2m, and will be picking up a Precision 6266 T4 .81 for it and lugtronic management

Hopefully I can get the car to the stripper next week! I am considering sanding but not thrilled about the idea, also have the chromoly for the cage, and tracked down a mk3 k frame and passat front support

Anyways got all the glass out, and am about ready to get the car stripped, cant decide if I want to get it media blasted or to spend the time sanding it, as I want the interior painted also.
