    1. 09-17-2012 10:59 AM #1
I new to this thread, but I was wondering what your opinions of a 2001 jetta 1.8t with 101,000 miles. Im thinking about trading my car in for it. I was wondering if you guys could tell me how reliable they are and if it would be a good car to purchase. Do jettas have problems? are they hard to fix? easy to mod? I hope you guys will give me some real answers and not some bs Thanks!

1.8 engine had some problems but for the age mileage of the car I'm sure they were addressed all ready

      How much is this car?
General conditions? Do you have any pic?

What car are you trading? What transmission does the Jetta have? How well has it been maintained?

The car cost about 5700. It is in very good condition inside in out. I was just worried about getting a car thats going to break on me often. I drive a 05 lancer es it reliable but slow as **** and it auto. I post reply with link later. Oh and its Wolfberg edition.

I would more or less be concerned with the timing belt. The motors are tit to work on. Mk4's are plagued with interior pieces braking all the time. I personally favor that particular engine platform
