I've got my black MkIII VR6 GTI up for sale. Some of my fellow Vdub guys in the area may have seen it before. In all honesty, I don't want to get rid of it, but I may be leaving sooner rather than later, so I need to get cracking on a buyer before it's too late.
The car really is fantastic, and I have loved every minute of owning it. Let's start with the negatives about the car:
The ignition lock switch needs replacing. It will start, but you have to do it a certain way in order to get her going.
The right rear quarter has some rust, which I have kept touched up with paint. It hasn't really spread at all in the 1+ year that I have owned it.
As with almost any MkIII sunroof, the left track is broken. It will work fine if you replace the track.
It was resprayed in 2009, so the paint looks pretty good.
It has *I believe* Brock B2 wheels. They are white and are 17s. Front tires are 205/40R17, rears are 225/35R17.
Front tires are brand new.
It has fully adjustable KW coilovers, and where the ride is stiff, I absolutely love it. The car is a LOT of fun on these Bavarian roads.
It has front and rear strut bars.
It has Sandtler race seats with Schroth harnesses.
It has aftermarket headlamps (projectors) and tails.
Stainless steel headers
I replaced the front rotors and all the pads 1 year ago when I purchased the car.
I replaced the automatic windows with crank windows.
The car is FULLY stripped out. It literally has nothing except seats, harnesses, and a dash.
I replaced the front motor mount with a BFI stage .5 polyurethane mountm, and it stiffened up the motor a bit, but if I was keeping it, I would get the rear one as well.
The car has 247,xxx km, and runs very very strong, and is pretty quick, and sounds fantastic. If any of you have seen it around the Graf/Vilseck area, I think you'd agree it's a great example of a good driver's MkIII VR.
PRICE REDUCED! Asking: $4,100 OBO!!!
Please feel free to contact me at any time to look at the car, ask questions, etc. Test drives will be reserved only for serious buyers.

No, that one was a G60. It was in decent shape, but could have used some good TLC. Mine is back in the States; I didn't want to bring it out here, as I was afraid to mess it up.
Here are some pics of mine:
