I don't mind the process of taking on and off each day
    Question is

    Is it worth it ?

Not unless your car is absolutly clean ... otherwise it can marr the paint.

Worth it for me. The alternative is bird crap, acorn shells, leaves, spider webs... which lead to paint damage. See: my last car.

Haven't noticed any scratches, swirls, chips, etc. from it in almost two years of use. Its specifically designed for the car by VW, so that may help in the overall scheme of things.

I leave my car parked at the airport when I travel.

It takes but a few minutes o shoot the car with an instant detailer prior to putting the cover on.

The cover protects from door dings, jet fuel residue, and all the other junk floating in the air.

    It's worth it to me.
