Thread: 92 Corrado Vr6-Turbo For Sale - $13500

  1. 09-20-2012 03:59 PM #1
Almost a Classic. Absolutely beautiful Corrado. I've spent hundreds of hours and over $15K over the past 7 years refining this beast. I'm ready to move on to another platform. I really hate to get rid of my baby but it is the only way for me to move on. Serious buyers please.
90% of the engine bay has been replaced with new or upgraded parts. Engine was rebuilt at 99K miles with heavy duty/performance parts (ARP, turbo spec'd parts) Only parts not touched were pistons and crankshaft. In 2012 I had the turbo/piping/custom mapping re-done professionaly. Odometer now reads 115K miles.
I am in no hurry to sell. All I ask is that whoever buys it, shows the same TLC I did and takes this car beyond the limits I did! By the way, I do have the Dyno sheet and at 13PSI, it pushed 357BHP at 6098 RPM. Listed below is the bulk of it mostly done in 2008 and some in 2011:

    Borla 2.5" Cat-back Exhaust
New Distributer, Starter, Ignition Coil, Water Pump
    High Flow Catalytic Converter
    5 pc. Polyurethane Motor Mounts
    Head Stud Kit, ARP
    Autotech 10lb Flywheel
    Spec Clutch Kit, Stage II+ (395 ft/lbs)
    Inconel Turbo Exhaust Manifold
Timing Chain Kit, Dual Chain rebuilt w/upgraded tensioners
    Peloquin Planetary LSD
Piston Ring Set, 81mm (Honed out cylinders by hand)
    Rod Bearing Set (OEM)
    Rod Bolt Set, Complete (Performance)
Suspension Rebuild Kit w/ ZF Tie Rod (HD)
    Koni Sport Coilovers, adjustable
    Radiator (OEM)
    Slimline radiator fans
    Custom Stealth Racing Mapping
    Garrett GT35 Turbo w/3" Piping (2012)
    Tial Sport 38mm Waste Gate
    SSQ Blow Off Valve
Profec B Spec II Boost Controller
DDI Gauges with steel rings/DDI Reverse Lighting Kit (Red)
Neuspeed Power Pulleys (set of 3)
    Intercooler
    Custom Piping re-done (2012)
    Optima Battery Deep Cycle
    Full Body Kit RS Style
    Neuspeed Spark 8mm Plug Wires
    Iridium Spark Plugs
    Samco Complete Coolant Hoses
    30 lb Fuel Injectors
    Rear/Front Neuspeed anti-sway bars
    Oil Pressure/Boost Gauges
O2 Wideband Sensor and AEM Gauge
    Grounding Kit
    8.6:1 Compression Head Spacer
    258 deg Turbo Cams
    Ported polished Throttle Body
    Shortrunner Intake Manifold
    Oil Cooler Kit
Custom Pioneer System and woofer boxes in fiberglass.
    Fuel/Air Gauge/Boost Gauge/Oil Press
    New HID Kit 6000K
    New Windshield

The only faults it has are a deteriorated sunroof liner which will bind the cloth if opened. The sunroof works perfectly but I just use the tilt for this reason. The rest is just wear and tear to the leather, small chips/couple of small rust spots. Must see to appreciate.

Projects I'm still working on are drilling hole for oil pressure sensor (gauge), short shifter kit, and finishing my very unique woofer boxes..let me know and I'll send pics of that. Just needs to be sanded a bit more and vinyl cloth wrapped like my door speakers.

Don't let the picks fool you. I just came back from England and that is why it had British plates. The vechicle is located in Chesapeake, Virginia. IM or post for more details or viewing.

Comon guys... please pass the word around to any VW fans out there. I am negotiable on the price of course. The car has been well taken care of. No racing yet... although an Audi TT tried to the other day, but my temps were high so i decided to postpone his embarrasment.

Gorgeous car and close to me too, but it is out of my price range (car is worth what you are asking though)!

Coming from the DSM world, I had a FP racing turbo manifold that I was running un-heatshielded. It got so hot underneath the hood it melted my AC Condersor fan lol. The turbo blanket stopped that, my underhood temps dropped by almost 90 degrees! Definitely worth the price!

Good luck on the sale of your car, it is beautiful!

Thanks guys.. I wish I could keep it and get my next project which is a Subaru Brz, but I just can't get my cake and eat it too this time. I might try another forum too.. any suggestions?

I'm dropping the asking price. I know I'll never make up what I put into it, but this is a more reasonable price. I'm also changing out the thermostat to a 70 celsius one and installing the turbo blanket. Should have this done by the weekend.

Ok new thermostat 60deg, turbo blanket, and flushed cooling system...now runs much cooler--about 25 deg cooler. Also just got a new windshield installed. I'm dropping the price down as I've seen other VR6-T out there for cheaper. However, not as quality set-up as this one.. I did not pick cheap parts, always quality so it would last.

Price is now $9400 Hopefully this around someone's playing field.

Yeah no problem.. I don't think it's going anywhere soon.. I'm still working on stuff. Lady backed into my bumper the other day.. so looks like I'll be getting a new one I'm thinking of re-routing my K&N to get colder intake. Don't really like where it's at.
