Help me out guys, I am having a really hard time deciding between the SGS III and EVO LTE.

    This is what I've found:

    SGS III Pro's:

    -2 GB RAM
    -Deeper colors, better blacks
-Feels better in hand than EVO (personal preference)
-Better XDA support and quicker updates

    EVO LTE Pro's:

-Brighter, sharper screen (best screen I have ever seen, personal preference)
    -Dedicated camera button
    -Built in kickstand
    -Better build quality

From a hardware perspective, I feel like I am leaning towards the EVO, but from a software, support, and future proof perspective, I feel like I am leaning towards the S3. The EVO seems to have a too aggressive task manager, and the S3's screen brightness isn't really all that great. Confused, don't know what to do...

while both are not bad phones, i'd make sure you've got LTE coverage where you plan on using them.

sprint is seriously lacking on the LTE build out.

this means that for the most part, they're going to operate on 3G unless you're in one of the luck 20 or so markets they've got lit up righ tnow.

buying a new phone that operates on 3G while waiting/hoping/praying they offer coverage soon isn't something i'd be willing to do.
shut your mouth. sh sh shut your mouth.

Yeah, I understand what your saying. I'll be moving to Atlanta where LTE is already lit up.

It seems like Sprint is getting good comparable speeds according to PC Mag.

Just can't figure out which one to buy.

Can't go wrong with either probably.. haven't played with the EVO LTE at all, only past EVOs.

I suspect the SG3 will be updated in a more timely manner (Jelly Bean scheduled for next month) because it's a more popular phone and Samsung doesn't want to screw up their #1 hand.

I have the EVO. The task manager is indeed pretty annoying. Build quality is great, but I'm not a dash stroker, I need it to DO things well not FEEL good. Kickstand, never use it. Camera button is handy, but you can probably remap a volume button to act as a shutter on the S3 (guessing). Radios all rock. Battery life is typical, you need to know how to manage it to get the best out of it. Literally the ONLY thing I don't like is the aggressive task killing/low RAM. Otherwise it's been great and I'm sure I'll be happy with it for the next two years.

I have no experience with the S3. I wish I could.

Just get either one, you have 14 days to test drive it and return it.
I always plug in USBs right the first time.

I bought my GF the Evo LTE and she loves it; I have the SG3 and I love it. I still think my phone is a little faster than hers even though she won't admit to it. I personally think the screen on the SG3 is better. One thing I wish mine had that hers does is the kickstand. When I had the first Evo I always used to use it and I miss it. The cameras on both phones are good. I think it all comes down to personal preference. I used to like HTC but their task manager sucks. But I do believe as far as quality the Evo is built better it feels a lot more solid in your hand than the SG3. Either way you go, you will have a great phone.

On a sidenote, not having LTE in your area SUCKS BALLS!!!
