Thread: Pioneer Brake Bypass question

  1. 09-22-2012 05:49 AM #1
I recently got the Pioneer AppRadio 2 installed in my 2000 MKIV Golf.

Can't access all of the main features even if handbrake is on because the car does cannot transmit the brake signal.

My mechanic told me that all I needed was a switch and had to connect it to the green wire left that he left behind the glovebox.

    I don't fully understand this...

    Anyone?

he left it disconnected, so that's why it's not getting the signal from the brake... legally he can't install the switch since the brake signal is required by law.

You will also find that you have to engage the parking brake twice. I installed a switch to allow bypass of the "no video in motion" safety feature.
