    decided to clean up the scirocco some more over winter, plans to convert to megasquirt and repaint engine bay/ and car

    That's looking a lot better even though its just stripped metal. What's your process on getting rid of that paint and surface rust?


    And what are your wheel specs?

    paint stripper and than a wire wheel, takes way longer than wanted.

    wheels are keskin kt1's 16x9 et25 16x9 et 15

    made more progress today, made some pieces to cover up some holes in the firewall and the front sides. pics tomorrow!

    was told i should weld the trigger wheel bolts

    started to seam weld and fill the chassis seams
    thanks to a good friend with a welder

    looks great......I am contemplating doing this to mine over the winter, how many hours are involved in the engine so far?
